Now that you have a new account on Facebook, it’s time for your Facebook Home Page Setup. You want to attract as many people as you can that have an interest in your product. Set it up the wrong way and you will have almost no followers. Do it right and you will attract a lot of people.
This post will teach you how to set up your profile picture, your cover photo, writing your story and what other settings you need to be updating. Also, you don’t want your profile to look like an advertising page for your product or business. It should have lots of value. Therefore the more value you share the more people will like what you write.
So, lets dig in the setup for your profile, starting with your profile picture.
How To Attract More People With Your Profile Picture
Your profile picture is one of the most important part of your Facebook profile. It’s the first thing that people will see. People will thrust you more when they see a real person. That’s why you must make sure that your profile picture is YOU. And only you. No one else or more people in it…
What you don’t want to use as a profile picture? Fancy Cars, baby’s, pets, family picture, money, business logo’s… I can go on and on but you get what I mean.
Your profile picture need to be bright. It would be nice if you also smile in it. When you have a chance to make a photo shoot for professional pictures, that’s even better. People love to see a good profile picture. They will take you more seriously.
What your Cover Photo Should Look Like
Now that your profile picture is set up it’s time to add a cover photo in your Facebook Home Page Setup. This is the second part that people will look at. Where most people will go wrong is that they create a cover photo about their business. Your cover photo can not look like an add if you want to attract a lot of people.’
What are people looking for online. Well, most people that are online want to change their lifestyle when they search for an extra income. So, create that lifestyle in your cover photo. People will relate to that. You show them what they want to have. They don’t care what business you are in. They want the lifestyle you have.
When you are in a different niche find the problem that people have. Solve it by showing it in your cover photo. Do you need some inspiration? Check my Facebook Profile to see what I mean: CLICK HERE to go to My Facebook Profile.
Your Story Is A Very Important Key Ingredient
Now it’s time to write your story. Yes, you have to do some writing about you. Also, you want people to look into your lives. The best way to do that is to write your story. People will know you more and thrust you more. The more the people will thrust you the bigger chances are they will buy from you.
But don’t write the story about your business. People don’t care in that stage. So, start with who you are, where are you from, why are you doing what you are doing, what are your goals. Don’t make the story short. The longer the better. I tested it out. Long stories will do a lot better.
At the end of the story you can add a link to lead people to your business or product if they want to know more about what you do. But don’t try to explain your business or product in your story. That’s not the place to do that.
Updating The Rest Of Your Settings In Your Facebook Home Page Setup
You are almost there. The last part is to set up the rest of your settings on your profile. Go to your profile and click on the “About” tab. Fill in all the blanks as much as possible. In the “Details about you” section you can paste your story again there.
There will be sections that you can also add website links. You can put there your links to your business or product. That’s it. Thought that was a lot? The most time will be in writing your story. Your page is now setup. Now put some great content on it.
Your Basic Settings Are Setup, Now What?
Now that you have set up your profile page, the basics are ready and you can move on to the next step. That will be writing content. Do it right and your following will grow. In the next post I will talk about content. What to post, what not to post, what will attract people.
